Scarred or Rescued

Has it been a lie throughout, 
Or the sky has faded away again. 
Have we forgotten our paths, 
Knowing when to drift and yet, 
He resisted the very next weak moment. 

Is it the fear of him coming in life,
Walking over the wounds that were still raw. 
They say he's caring and he's never backed out.
But the thought still hovers. 
Tide or shore, what does he bring along. 

Just believe in his belief with an open heart.
They say but I won't succumb this time, 
Shadows are fading for once, 
Truth or lie, the brightest star is with me tonight.
